De Pijp is struggling with cleanliness. Walking through the streets, it’s easy to spot papers, cardboard, and other rubbish left on the ground.
Residents need to be more mindful of their waste disposal, but part of the problem can also be addressed by the municipality. In some cases, the containers are too small, forcing people to leave garbage around them.
The cardboard container next to the playground on Sint Willibrordusstraat is far too small. Installing a larger one could help solve the issue. In this specific case, space on the square is not a concern.
We all know this is not an isolated issue—many other places are facing the same problem.
